ARC Raiders Update May Add Toxic Swamp Event Next Week
ARC Raiders continues to gain momentum, and a new in-game event may arrive sooner than players expected. The game has been in the spotlight recently after selling over 12 million copies and revealing a hidden first-person mode. That momentum now points toward another upcoming update.
ARC Raiders update may add Toxic Swamp event
As reported by GamesRadar, a Toxic Swamp map modifier appears set to launch next week, based on newly uncovered Raider Trials data. The Toxic Swamp does not introduce a brand-new map. Instead, it modifies existing locations, most likely the Dam Battlegrounds, into a hazardous, toxin-filled environment that forces players to adapt quickly.
Players uncover upcoming objectives tied to hazardous conditions
Members of the ARC Raiders community on Reddit uncovered trial objectives dated for January 19 that reference tasks such as delivering thermal rocks while the Toxic Swamp condition remains active. Additional objectives scheduled for the week of January 26 include challenges like keeping Air Purifiers powered on during Toxic Swamp events under a task labeled “Clean Air.”

Players revealed these details by changing their PC date and time to preview future Raider Trials content. The same method helped uncover hidden expedition details in the past.
While Embark Studios has not confirmed the update, the available evidence suggests the Toxic Swamp modifier could arrive very soon. If accurate, the event should introduce heavier environmental pressure and more strategic decision-making during extraction runs.
