Battlefield 6 leak hints at October 10 release
Fans might not have to wait long
The countdown to Battlefield 6 has begun. EA’s long-awaited game’s first trailer drops July 24. However, if a recent leak (via Game Fragger) is accurate, fans might not need to wait too long to play.
According to a datamine from the Battlefield Labs test build, shared by the known leaker group 1BF Telegram, the game could launch on October 10, 2025. Battlefield entries typically drop in October or November, and the marketing rollout is already picking up speed.
Here’s what’s fueling the speculation. The datamine includes a reference to a “Phantom Edition,” although nothing else is known about what it offers. In addition, media and content creators have reportedly been invited to preview the game between July 29 and 31.
EA is also rumored to be planning a “CoD Next” style event with gameplay, dev talks, and more reveals during that window. Adding to the buildup, fans have spotted signs of an open beta in the EA App.
It’s expected to begin August 4 and feature class-specific weapon rules along with alternate playlists for more flexible gun use. EA hasn’t confirmed this yet, but the date matches what the community has been expecting.
Thousands are already camped in the YouTube lobby for the reveal trailer premiere, and if the beta starts next month, Battlefield 6 could follow the same rapid-launch pace as other big shooters.
