Battlefield 6 Reveal Set for Tomorrow (July 24), Modern Setting Teased in First Look
We expect to see some in-game footage in the trailer
EA DICE has officially confirmed the next chapter in the Battlefield series, and it’s simply titled “Battlefield 6.” The reveal came on Tuesday with a dramatic teaser image that looks like it’s pulled straight from in-game footage. According to a post on the official Battlefield X account, the first full trailer will premiere on July 24.
The teaser shows four soldiers standing atop a crumbled building, staring out at what appears to be a devastated version of New York City.
There’s a wrecked skyline, an aircraft carrier floating in the East River, and a fiery explosion near the Brooklyn Bridge. Overhead, a pair of fighter jets, likely Russian Su-57s, blaze past, tailed closely by what looks like an F-16.
This all points to a modern-day setting, shifting away from the near-future chaos of Battlefield 2042 or the World War-era entries like Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V. We expect EA DICE is aiming for a more grounded combat experience this time.
As for gameplay details, DICE hasn’t confirmed whether a single-player campaign is part of the plan. That said, the studio has hinted that the new game will build on fan feedback, which could mean a stronger focus on narrative alongside the large-scale multiplayer battles the series is known for.
While the teaser didn’t mention a launch date, a fresh leak suggests that Battlefield 6 may release on October 10. You can expect more details during the trailer premiere later this month.
