Beast of Reincarnation Finally Launches on Xbox, PC, PS5 & Game Pass (Day-One)

After years of being closely associated with Pokémon, Game Freak has finally released its next major original adventure. Beast of Reincarnation is now available worldwide. The action RPG combines fast-paced combat with emotional storytelling. It’s also playable on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

Publisher Fictions confirmed the global launch alongside a brand-new gameplay trailer highlighting exploration, combat, and story moments. Xbox players receive an extra bonus. The action RPG is included with Xbox Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S and Windows from day one, allowing subscribers to play without purchasing the standard edition.

The game is priced at $59.99 for players buying it outright. Unlike Game Freak’s traditional monster-collecting adventures, Beast of Reincarnation leans heavily into action RPG gameplay. The experience mixes real-time combat, exploration, and character progression inside a post-apocalyptic version of Japan.

Players step into the role of Emma, a mysterious outcast known as a Blightborn. She has lost both her memories and emotions before the adventure even begins. Her constant companion is Koo, a loyal Blight Hound whose relationship with Emma evolves throughout the journey.

A changing world shapes every adventure

Speaking of combat, Emma and Koo fight together rather than separately. Their growing bond unlocks new abilities that strengthen both exploration and battles against increasingly dangerous enemies. Game Freak says the emotional connection between Emma and Koo sits at the heart of the experience. That relationship reportedly becomes just as important as defeating powerful foes.

That being said, Beast of Reincarnation also represents an important release for Game Freak itself. The studio has spent decades being closely associated with Pokémon. This launch gives it another opportunity to establish a brand-new franchise in the action RPG genre.
