bumble not available in your country

Bumble is a popular multi-platform, location-based dating app where women often get to make the first move.

It works on Android and iOS devices, but you can also use it on your desktop/laptop computer through its Bumble Web app.

The bad news is that you may discover that Bumble is not available in your country.

Like numerous other online location-based services, Bumble is subject to geoblocking.

However, this doesn’t mean that there’s nothing you can do about it and that you should give up.

Check out our guide below and learn how you can access Bumble from anywhere in the world.

How can I fix Bumble not available in your country?

Use a VPN

  1. Buy a VPN subscription plan (we recommend Surfshark*)
  2. Download the VPN and install it
  3. Launch the VPN client
  4. Log into your account
  5. Connect to a supported location (the US, for instance)
  6. Download Bumble
  7. Create a Bumble account

If you plan on using Bumble on Android or iOS devices, you must install the VPN prior to downloading the app.

The reason why we recommend this course of action is that Bumble might not be available on the Play Store or App Store from unsupported locations.

Surfshark

* – Surfshark is one of the best VPNs that support GPS spoofing. So, in addition to changing your IP-based location, Surfshark will also include fake GPS coordinates tied to the server you’re connected to.

Connect to obfuscated VPN servers

We’ve analyzed Bumble’s guidelines and its Terms & Conditions, but couldn’t find any mentions of restricted VPN usage.

However, some users reported that Bumble might not be totally on-board with VPN usage and might even serve lifetime bans on detected accounts.

While it sounds quite serious, users who can’t access the app in the first place have almost nothing to lose.

On the other hand, there might be a way to have your cake and eat it too: using obfuscated VPN services.

These VPNs can easily disguise their traffic so as to make it appear like regular HTTPS traffic.

As a result, services such as Bumble may not be able to detect VPN usage as easily, if at all.

Few VPN services support obfuscation mode, and Surfshark (buy here) is one of the best in the business.

The in-app feature is called Camouflage Mode and uses the OpenVPN protocol to disguise your VPN traffic.

Use Smart DNS technology

Unblocking Bumble with a Smart DNS service is a faster alternative to VPNs, mainly because this method doesn’t involve encryption.

Additionally, Smart DNS tools don’t hide your IP address, which further favors speed.

However, you must understand that using a Smart DNS instead of a VPN will provide you with zero protection against malevolent agents.

Your IP address will be visible, your connection won’t be re-routed through secure servers and your traffic won’t be encrypted at all.

All you have to do is install the Smart DNS service of your choice and choose a supported location (i.e. a country where Bumble works).

On the bright side, you probably won’t risk getting your account banned.

You can get a specialized Smart DNS service or you can turn to a VPN service that has built-in Smart DNS technology, such as Surfshark (buy here).

The best part about it is that you can use the Smart DNS service separate from the VPN secure tunnel.

You just have to access the Surfshark accounts page, whitelist your IP address. Then, copy the primary and alternate DNS servers provided there and use them on your device.

Use proxy servers

Using a proxy server to access Bumble from an unsupported country may be a bit less effective than using a VPN.

You can find proxy servers all around the Internet, and the best part about it is that they’re free.

On the other hand, the fact that they’re free also means that there may be a lot of users connected to them, which will dramatically reduce your speed.

Additionally, proxy servers are also more prone to be detected than regular or obfuscation-ready VPNs.

Or, you can use a proxy server on top of a VPN connection.

For example, you can use Shadowsocks in Surfshark (buy here) if you want to connect to a second location. Alternatively, you can try multi-hop VPN connections to stay connected to two VPN servers.

Conclusion

All in all, if Bumble is not available in your country, you could give a shot to our suggested methods above.

Using a VPN is without a doubt the most effective way to go about it, as it offers you both anonimity and security.

However, if you’re not exactly ready for a VPN subscription purchase committment, you could just try some of our other suggestions.
