Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Early Access Beta Release Date & Start Times Explained
The countdown to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is officially underway. Activision has locked in the game’s beta schedule, giving players their first chance to jump into multiplayer weeks before launch. Just like previous Call of Duty releases, the beta will roll out in two separate phases, with one reserved for early access players before opening up to everyone else. Although exact launch times haven’t been announced yet, the full weekend schedule is now confirmed.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta release date and schedule explained
Activision is splitting the Modern Warfare 4 beta into two four-day events. The first weekend begins immediately after the Call of Duty: NEXT showcase on August 21 and is available only to players with early access. It will remain live until August 25.
The second weekend starts on August 28 before wrapping up on September 1. Unlike the opening phase, this weekend serves as the Modern Warfare 4 open beta, allowing more players to jump into the action.
Modern Warfare 4 beta start time
The early-access launch is scheduled for 11 AM PDT on August 21. That translates to 2 PM EDT, 7 PM BST, and 8 PM CEST on the same day. The full game is scheduled to launch on October 23, while campaign early access begins October 16 for eligible digital pre-orders.
What you’ll be able to play during the beta
The beta focuses entirely on multiplayer, giving players early access to a selection of maps and game modes before the game’s full release. Campaign content won’t be included, as the primary goal is to let players experience online gameplay while helping Activision test server stability ahead of launch.
