Furthermore, once you have installed the extension, you will see a flag icon beside their address bar.

This icon will inform users about potentially dodgy websites. You may want to learn more about the criteria that the extension uses to detect suspicious sites.

Google uses some specific metrics to flag a site. It flags any particular domain if it is not popular, received no visitors during the past three months, or uses some mysterious characters.

Chrome users need to provide complete details regarding the suspicious site in order to submit a report.

You should have details such as an IP address, URL, screenshots, and so on. Additionally, the system will ask you about the steps you have taken to reach the dodgy website.

In case you want to be secure while surfing the internet, you will need to get a full-dedicated tool to secure your network.  Install now Cyberghost VPN and secure yourself. It protects your PC from attacks while browsing, masks your IP address and blocks all unwanted access.

Previously, Google only used machine learning techniques to ensure Safe Browsing. Thankfully, the search giant has now revised its policy.

The company has now shifted its focus to user reports. Google may think about adding these sites to its Safe Browsing systems.

Google explains that:

If the site is added to Safe Browsing’s lists, you’ll not only protect Chrome users but users of other browsers and across the entire web.

Google  also revealed its usage statistics. According to the company, around four billion devices are currently using Google’s Safe Browsing service. Today, many popular browsers use this service. Some of these are Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

Are you looking for a fast, secure, privacy compliant browser? UR Browser is the perfect tool for you.

Thousands of phishing scams are currently targetting the users on a daily basis. We really hope that Suspicious Site Reporter extension will help  users stay safe online.
