Many use CPU-Z to check their system information, but others reported that CPU-Z is not working, so today we’re going to show you how to fix this issue.

Why is CPU-Z not working?

The most common cause is the lack of privileges, but the issue can be caused by glitches in the app, outdated drivers, or outdated BIOS.

What can I do if CPU-Z is not working?

1. Run the app as an administrator

  1. Locate the CPU-Z shortcut and right-click it.
  2. Next, choose Run as administrator.
  3. Check if the problem is gone.

2. Use the latest version of the software

  1. Download CPU-Z from the official website. Be sure to use the latest version.

  2. Next, try to run the application again.
  3. If the issue persists, try using an older version instead.

3. Reinstall your graphics drivers

  1. Download Display Driver Uninstaller.

  2. Next, use Display Driver Uninstaller to remove your drivers.
  3. Once removed, install the latest driver version and try CPU-Z again.

4. Update your drivers and BIOS

  1. Visit your motherboard manufacturer’s website and download the latest drivers.
  2. Once the motherboard drivers are up to date, check if the problem is gone.
  3. If not, go ahead and download the latest BIOS version for your motherboard and update it.
