According to Microsoft, one of the most highly requested features by all the Office aficionados out there has finally been released to the public.

You guessed it, we are talking about the dark mode element for the Android version of the app.

Dark Mode is now available for Microsoft Office Android

This theme variation has been on the mind of users for quite some time now, seeing how it creates a less stressful work environment. Long overdue, everyone can now rejoice in the fact that it has become reality.

So we can definitely say that this is a more than welcome addition to the Office suite, as it provides you with better viewing options and, also, keeps battery consumption low.

How do I turn Dark Mode on in the Microsoft Office app?

Activating this new feature on your mobile device is as easy as taping the application, to access it.

Remember that the newest version of the Office app for Android will automatically adjust to Dark Mode if your device already has that preference selected.

Also, you can turn dark mode on or off by simply tapping your profile icon, on the Home tab in the Office app, selecting Settings, and then choosing Light, Dark, or System Default from the Theme options.  

Keep in mind that this new feature will be rolling out to users worldwide over the next couple of weeks. So, if you do not see it in your app yet, it will be a part of the next update your app receives.
