Dell Unveils "Pro 5 Micro," a Compact Business PC With Power of Intel's Panther Lake Processors
Today, Dell announced a bunch of laptops under its Pro Notebooks lineup, powered by Intel and AMD processors. However, among the announced devices the highlight is the Dell Pro 5 Micro. It is the company’s new PC designed for business users, and it’s bringing some of Intel’s Panther Lake processors into a surprisingly compact form factor. Speaking of which, ASUS also recently launched the NUC 16 Pro, which targets high-end mini PC market.
Dell brings Panther Lake power to a compact business PC
The new mini PC supports up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 366H vPro processor, alongside configurations with the Core Ultra 5 335 vPro. These chips come with built-in NPUs, enabling support for Microsoft’s Copilot+ platform (the first for the Pro series desktop PC), with AI performance reaching up to 50 TOPS.

Despite its compact 182 x 178 x 36mm design, the system is immensely powerful. It supports up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM across two SODIMM slots, along with dual M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSDs. There’s also an additional slot for wireless connectivity, with options going up to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
It’s worth noting that you can power the Dell Pro 5 Micro with a 90W AC adapter. Notably, it is also compatible with a 100W USB Type-C charger. In other words, you can power the device and connect it to a display using just a single USB-C cable, keeping the setup clean and minimal.

You get plethora of ports
Not to forget, it comes with configurable port with a modular design. You can choose to an extra HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, or USB port, or even go VGA, PS/2, or a serial port if your setup still depends on them. Port selection is comprehensive for this mini PC. It includes:

- 1 x Gigabit Ethernet

Dell has further highlighted thermal improvements this time around. The company claims the Pro 5 Micro runs 10% cooler than its predecessor, which could matter a lot in a busy workplace environments. Last but not least, the device will officially launch on March 31.
