Designer is coming to the Microsoft 365 suite

The Microsoft 365 Suite is getting another app: Microsoft Designer. The announcement of Designer joining the Microsoft 365 family was revealed at the Microsoft Surface Event 2023, and the Redmond-based tech giant says the app will help users unleash their creativity.
With Designer in Microsoft 365, you’ll be able to create visuals, social media posts, covers, and other graphic designs that you might need for work, all with the help of AI.
Yes, that’s right, Designer will use Copilot to bring to life anything you ask of it, within reasonable requests, of course.
Even more, Designer will use the newly-announced DALL-E 3 technology to breathe stunning details into your visuals and edit them according to your needs. This feature will be added soon, but it’s coming, according to Microsoft.
DALL-E 3 will also soon power the image generation experience in Designer, making it easy to add original, higher quality images to your design in seconds.

Designer in Microsoft 365: First step, Word
Designer will be available to use in Microsoft Word. The feature will allow you to choose from suggested visual examples to fill your documents with. Plus, Designer will allow you to upload your own images, as well. And, because it uses AI, Designer will be able to transform your text-ridden documents into highly visual ones within seconds.
For now, only a limited number of users will get to experience Designer in Microsoft 365, but the preview will be expanded, as this new addition is being tested. Ultimately, it will be released to the general public, most probably at the beginning of 2024.
Microsoft is keen on giving Microsoft 365 users all the tools to become the masters of their own creations. For example, the Redmond-based tech giant has improved Paint for this matter, and it seems this is the intention: to use Microsoft tools to create content.
With creative tools like Designer, plus Bing Image Creator, Clipchamp and Paint, you can now have an immediate visual draft of almost anything — with a few simple prompts.
