Copilot Pro freezes

Copilot Pro was just released a couple of days ago, and Microsoft excitingly promised advanced AI capabilities, and uninterrupted access to OpenAI’s GPT Turbo-4, so that users could access the AI model even during peak hours. All for a $20/month subscription.

Fast forward a few days later, and it seems Copilot Pro is facing some disappointing technical issues, as the AI tool freezes, and is unable to deliver and complete the tasks in due time, according to users.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), a Copilot Pro user voiced their dissatisfaction with the new Copilot version, mentioning Mikhail Parakhin, leader of the Windows and Web Experiences Team, responsible for the development of Copilot Pro.

Copilot pro is very slow right now am not sure why 🙁 like maybe less than 1 token per second it was lighting fast in the morning now it’s not on specific the GPT 4 creative mode turbo.

While this is understandable, as Copilot Pro has just been released, it’s expected to run into technical issues, there are a lot of issues with it. Some users have problems with running Copilot Pro on mobile devices, iOS, and Android, while the PC version works just fine.

Why can’t I use copilot pro on mobile apps (neither iOS nor Android)? On the web everything works very well… I’ve tried everything, log out, clear cache, everything. Is this a known issue?

However, Mikhail Parakhin says the team is working hard to address all the issues with Copilot Pro, and updates will be released in the following days. But if you run into issues with Copilot Pro, and the AI tool stops working while using Edge or Chrome, there might be a solution.

If Copilot Pro freezes, try this simple trick

Mikhail Parakhin says Copilot Pro might stop working if the device you’re running from is on low battery, and the Edge’s efficiency mode is activated.

To make Copilor Pro work again, make sure your device is plugged in, or it’s not on low battery. And if it is, then make sure, Microsoft Edge is not in efficiency mode.

Open Microsoft Edge > Browser Essentials > Efficiency mode is on when > Never.Copilot Pro freezes

Now that Microsoft Edge won’t be running with the efficiency mode on, Copilot Pro should work as it would normally work.

However, more updates will be released for it, so the AI tool’s performance will be improved in the following days.
