1. Uninstall Dev Home

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Windows Terminal from the list.
  2. Now, type or paste the following command and press Enter to run it: Get-AppxPackage *Windows.DevHome* | Remove-AppxPackage

In a few seconds, Dev Home will be uninstalled from your PC. However, it is possible to be reinstalled after another Windows 11 update.

2. Reinstall Dev Home using Microsoft Store

  1. Open Microsoft Store on your computer.
  2. Search for Dev Home and hit the Install button.
  3. However, we also got a stuck installation within the Microsoft Store. It says Update available but it is circling forever, without installing any update.

3. Reinstall Dev Home from Github

  1. Open the browser of your choice and go to the Dev Home Github Releases page.
  2. Scroll down and download the Dev Home installer from the Assets section.
  3. After downloading, run the file and hit the Install button.
  4. This time, Dev Home will be installed flawlessly and will start running without asking you about any pending updates.

If you are using WinGet, you can also install Dev Home by running the following command: winget install --id Microsoft.DevHome -e
