So, for anyone wondering what is error code CE 108877 1, it usually arises due to server connectivity issues and network-related problems and resolves on its own within a few hours. The error message reads, An error has occurred while connecting to the server.

How can I fix error code CE-108877-1 on PlayStation?

1. Check the PSN network status

Since we know that error CE-108877-1 on PS4 is most commonly a server-related issue, your primary approach should be to check the PlayStation Network’s service status.

If all the services are down or some are experiencing issues, it’s best to wait until Sony gets the server back up and running.

2. Connect to another network

4. Contact PlayStation support

If it’s not a widespread outage and reconfiguring the network settings doesn’t help, you should contact PlayStation support. Apprise them of the situation, provide as much information as possible, and then wait for a resolution.

In case it’s an issue at their end, they should soon fix it. As for problems with your console, they should share a series of relevant solutions.

5. Reset the PS console

  1. On your PS5 console, go to Settings, and then select System.
