You can check for debuggers with the command line:

  2. Run the following command, but replace the processname with the name of the affected process: tasklist /FI "IMAGENAME eq processname.exe"
  3. If the debugger is attached, you’ll need to end the process as shown above.

2. Disable Debugging Mode

  1. Open Command Prompt as administrator.
  2. Run the following command:  bcdedit /debug off
  3. Restart your PC.

3. Repair your system files

  1. Open Command Prompt with administrative privileges.
  2. Run the following command: sfc /scannow
    SFCSCANNOW CMD
  3. Once the scan is finished, check if the problem is still there.
  4. If the issue persists, run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    dism restorehealth
  5. Once the scan is finished, check if the problem is gone.

4. Check the logs

  1. Press the Windows key + X and choose Event Viewer.
  2. Next, navigate to Windows Logs and choose Application.

  5. Try to pinpoint the issue and resolve it.

5. Other tips to try

  1. Temporarily disable your antivirus. If this helps, add the affected program to the exceptions list.
  2. Update the affected application. If the problem persists, try running it with administrative privileges or reinstall it.
  3. Try performing a clean boot.
