Lack of permissions can prevent ExitLag from routing your traffic properly.

  1. Close ExitLag completely.
  2. Right-click the ExitLag shortcut on your desktop.
  3. Choose Run as administrator.
  4. Launch your game and test the connection again.

6. Disable Conflicting VPNs or Proxies

Other network services may override or block ExitLag.

  1. Press Windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl, and press Enter.
  2. In the Connections tab, click LAN settings.
  3. Uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN.use a proxy server disable
  4. Disable any other VPNs or proxies running in the background.

7. Reinstall ExitLag

Reinstalling removes any corrupted files and resets configuration settings.

  1. Press Windows + R, type appwiz.cpl, and hit Enter.
  2. Scroll down to ExitLag, right-click it, and choose Uninstall.
  3. Restart your PC.
  4. Download the latest version from ExitLag’s official website and install it.
  5. Run it as administrator and test the routing again.

8. Manually Change Game Routing in ExitLag

Sometimes, the default route won’t connect to the best server.

  1. Open ExitLag and search for your game.
  2. Select the game and click Apply Routes.
  3. Manually change the server region to a nearby alternative (e.g., Paris instead of Frankfurt).
  4. Launch the game and check for improvements.

9. Update Your Network Drivers

Outdated drivers can block or slow down routing.

  1. Press Windows + X and choose Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network adapters.
  3. Right-click your active adapter and choose Update driver.
