FIFA 20 is the latest entry in the long-lived FIFA game series.

However, like all of its predecessors, it is plagued by plenty of issues, especially those of a graphical nature.

All manner of problems form low FPS to black screens and crashes at launch have been reported.

Now, a new issue has been reported on the official forums.

Players have been reporting that they are experiencing lag in the FIFA 20 menu, both on the Xbox console as well as on PC.

The menus and everything are incredibly laggy, and opening a pack took a whole minute to lag through the animation.

How to solve the FIFA 20 menu lag issues

It would seem that the issue is caused by a background process belonging to the Origin client.

As such, switching it off will make the FIFA 20 menu lag disappear.

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc
  2. Locate the process
  3. Select End Task
  4. Go back in-game and observe that the lag has disappeared.
