Solution 2 – Check your antivirus

  1. Open Registry Editor and in the right pane navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability.

Solution 5 – Change EnablePreviewBuilds DWORD

  1. Open Registry Editor.
  2. In the left pane navigate to the HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability\. Create a backup of Applicability key just in case.
  3. Now locate EnablePreviewBuilds value in the right pane and double-click it. Change its Value data to 1 and click OK to save changes.

After doing that, you just need to make few changes in the Settings app. To do that, follow these steps:

  1. Press Windows Key + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Navigate to Update & Security section.

After doing that, the problem should be completely resolved and everything will start working again.
