It’s no secret that tech giants are having an AI race, and speaking of which, it seems that Microsoft has added some new members to its team.

Former Meta executive joins Microsoft in effort to push the frontier of AI forward
Former Meta executive, Jason Taylor, has joined Microsoft as The Verge writes. According to a LinkedIn post from Microsoft CTO, Taylor will be assigned the role of corporate vice president and deputy CTO.
With Tylor’s involvement, Microsoft plans to “build the next set of systems that will push the frontier of AI forward”.
As for Tylor, he worked at Meta from 2009 to 2022, and his most recent position was the company’s vice president of infrastructure.
He was in charge of handling AI, data, privacy infrastructure, and managing server budgets, so it’s no wonder that Microsoft offered him this position.
With Microsoft building a $100 billion Stargate supercomputer, it needs all the help it can get.
That’s not all, as the EU has greenlit Microsoft’s $13 billion investment in OpenAI. The company has also invested $1.5 billion in G42 in an attempt to push AI in the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
