3. Delete temporary junk files

  1. Right-click on Start and select Settings. right click on Start, select Settings
  2. As the Settings app opens, click on System on the left. click on system in the settings window
  3. Next, on the right, click on Storage. storage settings

4. Adjust Windows power settings

  1. Press the Win + R keys together to launch the Run console.
  2. Type powercfg.cpl in the search bar and hit Enter. run powercfg.cpl command

5. Renew IP address

  1. Press the Win + R keys simultaneously and the Run console is launched.

  3. Type the below commands one after another in the Command prompt (admin) and hit Enter after each one: ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew

Now, exit Command Prompt, restart your PC, and check if the FPS drops issue is resolved.

6. Use Google Public DNS address

  1. Open the Run console by pressing the Win + R shortcut keys.
  2. Now, in the search field, type ncpa.cpl and hit Enter. run ncpa.cpl command
  3. Next, in the Network Connections window, right-click on your network connection and select Properties.wifi properties
  4. Under the Networking tab, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties.select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP4)
  5. In the next dialog, go to the General tab, and select Obtain an IP address automatically.
  6. Now, select Use the following DNS server addresses options, and input the below Google Public DNS address in the respective fields: Preferred DNS server:; Alternate DNS server: the following DNS server addresses

Now, launch Borderlands 3 and check if you still experience stutters, slow FPs, or lags during the game.
