Gamescom 2026 Brings 4 New Xbox Game Pass Reveals

Gamescom 2026 is underway, bringing plenty of new game announcements alongside Microsoft’s 25th XBOX anniversary collection.

Opening Night Live was relatively light on fresh Xbox Game Pass announcements, but subscribers still got several trailers and release updates for upcoming titles.

Gravhounds

Gravhounds is a 1–4 player co-op action builder that sends players to hostile planets to gather resources, construct bases, and defend them against incoming threats.

The game will launch in Early Access sometime in 2026.

Gears of War: E-Day

Gears of War: E-Day received another story-focused trailer at Gamescom.

The footage follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during Emergence Day, 14 years before the events of the original Gears of War.

Microsoft plans to release the game on October 6, 2026.

Valor Mortis

Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner.

Players take control of a resurrected soldier from Napoleon’s army who gains supernatural abilities after returning from the dead.

The game launches on October 13, 2026.

There Are No Ghosts At The Grand

There Are No Ghosts At The Grand combines hotel restoration with a musical supernatural mystery.

Players renovate an English hotel during the day before dealing with ghosts and other supernatural threats at night.

The game enters PC Early Access in December 2026.

While Gamescom Opening Night Live did not deliver a large wave of new Game Pass announcements, these four games gave subscribers a clearer look at what is coming next. Unfortunately, most of the major releases will not arrive until October or later.
