If you recently tried using Google Search and received an internal error message, you might be among a small group of users experiencing the issue right now. Yes, Google Search appears to be down, but only for some users.

Prior to writing this, I was hit by the same error message seen below when I trying to search something on Google. The message read, “We’re sorry, but it appears that there has been an internal server error while processing your request. Our engineers have been notified and are working to resolve the issue. Please try again later.”

As of now, Google Search is working fine for us, but it seems a few users around the globe are still experiencing this internal error issue.

Over on Reddit, many users confirmed seeing a similar message while using Google Search. However, for most users, the service now appears to be back to normal.

DownDetector also shows similar signs, with the spike slowly settling back to normal levels.

At the time of writing this, the official Google Search Status Dashboard shows “no incidents.” We’ll keep you updated if we hear anything from Google on this matter.
