GTA 6 Gets Its Pre-Order Date as Rockstar Unveils Official Cover Art
The road to Grand Theft Auto 6 just got a little shorter. After months of speculation and relentless fan anticipation, Rockstar Games has finally locked in a pre-order date for its biggest release yet.
In a post shared on X, Rockstar confirmed that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will officially open on June 25 across digital storefronts and select retailers worldwide. The studio also unveiled the game’s official cover art, which is now available as downloadable artwork through its website.
The announcement marks the next major milestone in Rockstar’s marketing campaign following the release of the second trailer and the confirmation of the game’s delayed launch date.
“Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers.”
While Rockstar has yet to reveal pricing details or outline the contents of any special editions, the opening of pre-orders suggests more information could arrive in the coming days.
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game takes players back to the state of Leonida, featuring dual protagonists Lucia and Jason in what is shaping up to be Rockstar’s most ambitious open-world experience to date.
That said, the timing of the announcement is notable. With less than five months remaining until launch, Rockstar appears to be entering the next phase of its promotional push, one that will likely include fresh gameplay reveals, collector’s editions, and additional story details.
For now, console players finally have a date to circle on the calendar, as the company is currently focusing on the console release. Meanwhile, experts predict that GTA 6 launch sales could reach 46 million units.
