GTA 6 May Feature Quality & Performance Modes on PS5 & XBOX Series X|S Consoles
Rockstar’s biggest game in the history, Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026. While the game is still months away, fans are counting down the hours until pre-orders officially kick off on June 25. Yesterday, we cited some findings and reported that GTA 6 pre-order pages are being prepared behind the scenes by some of the major retailers.
Will GTA 6 release with Quality and Performance modes on consoles?
We can’t say that for sure. However, an unexpected leak from a major European retailer has given us our first look at how the game might actually run on home consoles. The news comes via VideoCardz, which spotted a detailed FAQ section for GTA 6 in the MediaMarkt Poland website.
According to the translated text, the console version of GTA 6 will follow modern gaming industry standards by offering two distinct graphics modes: Performance and Quality. The retailer listing also notes that the PlayStation 5 version will heavily use the DualSense controller for realistic haptic feedback, alongside standard promises of lightning-fast loading screens courtesy of the console’s SSD storage.
Rockstar Games has been notoriously quiet regarding frame-rate targets, resolution, or graphical presets, meaning this entire FAQ could easily just be placeholder text.
Industry experts and analysts have openly questioned whether a steady 60 FPS performance mode is even physically possible on current-gen hardware given the staggering NPC density and visual fidelity shown in the trailers.
Furthermore, the leak completely lacked any actual retail pricing, although we’ve come across rumors of standard edition priced at $90 in the US. Until Rockstar drops the official word, treat this retailer listing with a grain of salt, even if we all desperately want that 60 FPS toggle to be real.
