Insomniac Games Hints Marvel’s Wolverine Updates Are Coming in Spring 2026
Sony’s State of Play returns tomorrow, February 12, but it appears fans may not see updates for Marvel’s Wolverine during the presentation. If you are eager to learn more about time and what to expect, head to our guide for every detail.
Wolverine update delayed until the spring of this year
As reported by VideoGameChronicles (VGC), Insomniac Games, the developer behind Wolverine, responded on X to a fan asking when more information about the game would be revealed, hinting it will land in Spring 2026. From the post, it seems the studio is holding back details, either to ensure a more polished reveal or to prevent disappointment if the game is not included in this week’s show.
Marvel’s Wolverine remains one of PlayStation’s most anticipated first-party titles for 2026, and fans had hoped for a release date or new footage during the event. Originally announced in September 2021 alongside Spider-Man 2, Wolverine was described as being in “very early development” at the time.
Since then, updates have been sparse, keeping the fans eager for news. While some players may be disappointed by the delay, the studio’s timeline suggests a deliberate strategy to build anticipation and align announcements with broader marketing plans.
Right after Sony’s State of Play, Konami will kick off Silent Hill Transmission, and the timing is… interesting, to say the least. The publisher today confirmed that a fresh Silent Hill showcase will live stream on February 12, just one hour after PlayStation’s upcoming State of Play wraps up. Moreover, Konami has also said the live stream will give you a deep dive into the “latest updates from the Silent Hill series,” with Silent Hill: Townfall set to headline the event.
