Microsoft has released KB5043080 for Windows 11 24H2 users with Copilot+ PCs, bumping them up to Build 26100.1742. The cumulative update is available for manual download from the Microsoft Update Catalog or Windows Update.
This is a security-focused update that addresses several issues. While there are no significant highlights, KB5043080 addresses security issues for your Windows operating system and includes improvements that were a part of update KB5041865, released August 27, 2024.
For example, the Redmond-based tech updated the User Account Control (UAC) to prompt users’ credentials, similar to the Patch Updates to Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2. Microsoft also fixed a frustrating bug with Task Manager: it would not show the correct colours when in dark mode.
Microsoft was also aware of an issue where players on Arm devices could not download and play Roblox via the Microsoft Store on Windows. The tech giant offered a temporary solution: players on Arm devices can play Roblox by downloading the title directly from Roblox. While the issue is minor and is not expected to affect many users, the Microsoft Store might get updated to support downloading from there in the following months.
