KB5077230 Adds Freeform Rotate in Windows 11 Paint & Updated SCOOBE Screen
Windows 11 Canary Insider Build 28020.1619 (KB5077230) has expanded functionality of Cross-Device Resume, introduced Narrator improvements, and adds support for peripheral fingerprint sensors for enchanced Windows Hello sign-in security.
That’s not all, the update also add new Voice Typing settings and feature updates to the Windows 11 Paint app and more. Speaking of which, the Paint app has received a long-requested freeform rotate feature, which alllows shapes, text, and selections to rotate freely. You can adjust objects precisely or use a custom angle for exact control. The new feature is live in Paint app version 11.2601.391.0.

Meanwhile, on the setup side, Windows Insiders may notice a refreshed SCOOBE (Second Chance Out of Box Experience) screen. Microsoft, in the changelog for the update, mentions that “this redesigned screen is meant to be more intuitive and streamlined, allowing you to choose the recommended settings you want for your PC without having to navigate through multiple setup screens.”

As always with new features, Microsoft has encouraged Insiders to provide feedback when they see the aforementioned screen.
