Kick Teases Xbox Partnership, Sparking Console App Speculation
Kick today teased a potential collab with Xbox; but details are scarce at this point. The streaming platform posted an image on X (see above) showing two person shaking hands as a symbol of collaboration with Xbox, which can be seen as a sign of some kind of agreement with the streaming platform.
As usual, the speculation quickly centered on a long-awaited Kick app for Xbox consoles. Yes, a console app would be useful, and given that Kick is making its name in the market shared and largely dominated by Twitch, it’s feasible too.
To top it up, Xbox continues to promote its platform as more than a place to play games. So, a native streaming app could be on the cards. As of now, there are no signs of Kick popping up on Xbox, but don’t get surprised if it shows up in the coming days.
The Xbox-Kick collab tease comes as the Series X|S console sales hsve been tanking lately. Prices of comsoles have gone up twice in this year, with multiple reports sugggestimg that hardwares are struggling on the retail front too.
With plenty of prominent creators praising Kick, it seems Xbox wants to make the most out of this collab. In case either company tells us what’s in store, we’ll update it here.
