Lenovo is bringing a fresh update to its workstation lineup with the ThinkPad P14s Gen 7 AMD. This 14-inch laptop replaces the older model and packs a surprising amount of memory into a highly portable frame. For professionals across the USA who need a lightweight computer that can still handle heavy workloads, this new release offers a practical mix of mobility and hardware power.

Offers massive power and memory upgrades

The laptop runs on the Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470 processor and uses Radeon 890M integrated graphics. Unlike the Intel version of this laptop, the AMD model does not offer a dedicated graphics card. You can load this system with up to 96 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM.

Since the memory is split across two standard slots, you can easily replace or upgrade it yourself. The computer also holds up to two terabytes of internal storage.

These are the screen options and battery life

You can choose between two different screens. The base option is a standard 1200p IPS display. If you need better colors and smoother visuals, you can select the 2.8K OLED panel. The OLED screen includes a 120 hertz refresh rate and full DCI-P3 color coverage. Power comes from either a 60-watt-hour or 75-watt-hour battery. Even with these hardware choices, the laptop remains light and starts at about 2.8 pounds.

Lenovo expects to start selling the ThinkPad P14s Gen 7 AMD in April 2026. The company has not released official prices or full configuration details yet. The new ThinkPad P series offering has arrived soon after the brand introduced the ThinkPad T series of notebooks.
