Key notes

  • We know that many of you want to add cross-server friends to your list, in Lost Ark.
  • However, we're going to have to deliver some bad news, as that is not yet possible.
  • There are a lot of cross-server limitations you should consider before inviting friends.
  • The best shot you have at playing together on different servers is the group finder.

Ever since Lost Ark became available for free to all European and US players, the game’s fan base absolutely exploded.

A lot of people were eager to try this Smilegate title, a most of them are still playing it today, on Steam.

That just goes to show that fans are loyal to an amazing game, even if it did come with tons of bugs and glitches.

So, whether you can’t install Lost Ark on Steam, you are getting Authentication Error 10010, or EasyAntiCheat error codes, there are solutions for most of the existent problems.

However, Lost Ark players are now wondering how they can add their buddies from different servers to the friend list.

People from other servers can’t be added as friends or guildies

A little while back we discussed character server transfer for Lost Ark and found out that this feature is only available in Korea, with little hopes of us getting it as well.

And, since this is impossible, unfortunately so is adding people that play on a different server than your own to your friend list.

This is a question that has been asked since Lost Ark first became available and nothing has changed in the meantime.

Bottom line is, you can’t add cross-server players to your friend list or guild, which means that you definitely can’t create a PvP premade with someone from another server.

Also, guild versus guild, as well as stronghold visits, are server limited. Basically, you are looking at these restrictions:

Cross Server (region wide)

  • Raids
  • Dungeons
  • Cube
  • Platinum Fields
  • Auction House
  • Character Name
  • Boss Rush
  • Ranked PvP Arena

Server specific

  • Guilds
  • Friends (list)
  • Islands
  • Open World
  • Strongholds
  • Guild versus Guild (not available at launch)
  • Life Skills
  • Arena Premade (unranked only)

That being said, if you still want to play with your friends, the answer is the group finder. All you have to do is create a group, select the dungeon or raid you want to run, and have them join.

If you are unsure where to find the group finder, look under the Community Button in your Lost Ark UI.

A lot of things can still change though, we just have to be patient and hope that enough players request certain features, that developers feel obligated to add them in the game.

Until then, however, if you really want to be able to do everything with your friends in-game, make sure you are both on the same server.
