MANGMI Pocket Max launches with 7-inch 144Hz OLED and Snapdragon 865

We have seen multiple new handhelds lately, including AYANEO’s KONKR FIT, and now MANGMI is stepping in with another Android-based device. The company has officially announced the Pocket Max, its second handheld gaming system, built around a larger high-refresh OLED display and a strong focus on Android gaming and cloud streaming.

MANGMI Pocket Max focuses on Android gaming and streaming

The Pocket Max targets stable performance for emulation, native Android titles, and high-bitrate cloud gaming. MANGMI positions the device primarily for streaming games from PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, rather than running PC titles locally.

High-refresh OLED display

The 7-inch AMOLED panel delivers a 1920 × 1080 resolution with a 144 Hz refresh rate. According to MANGMI, the display offers a 100,000:1 contrast ratio, 150 percent sRGB color gamut coverage, up to 800 nits peak brightness, and a 2 ms response time, making it suitable for fast-paced games and low-latency streaming.

Controls and input system

MANGMI highlights its control setup as a key feature of the Pocket Max. The device uses a magnetic modular button system that supports both mechanical micro-switch modules and conductive rubber modules. It also includes TMR analog sticks and linear Hall effect triggers, aiming to improve durability and input precision.

Software experience

The Pocket Max ships with Android 13 and M SPACE 2.0. The updated frontend introduces an upgraded launcher, a quick sidebar, screen mapping tools, device spoofing features, and network access control designed for emulation and streaming use cases.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, USB 3.1 Type-C with video output support, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot. The device features active cooling and measures 254.87 × 101.06 × 17.45 mm, with a total weight of 450 grams.

The MANGMI Pocket Max goes on sale today through MANGMI’s official online store. Pricing starts at $199.99 for the Super Early Bird offer running from February 5 to February 12, followed by an Early Bird price of $219.99.

While the Pocket Max looks impressive for Android gaming and game streaming, it is not designed for native PC gaming. Users who want to run PC titles locally may find better value in devices like the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally, especially when discounted, as the industry waits to see what Intel’s rumored handheld gaming project delivers next.
