Massive Leak Exposes 007: First Light Spoilers & Unreleased Game Footage Online
Over an hour of gameplay of 007: First Light has reportedly surfaced online
If you have been waiting for 007: First Light for long and hate spoilers, it might be time to stay away from the internet for now. That’s because a major leak has just surfaced, and it is not the usual small clip or screenshot.
Indonesia ratings leak exposes major game footage
Over the weekend, Indonesia’s ratings board, the Indonesian Game Rating System, appears to have accidentally leaked private footage submitted by developers for classification. According to VGC, a security flaw left internal materials publicly accessible, and things escalated quickly.
Among the biggest hits is 007: First Light, where over an hour of gameplay has reportedly surfaced online. This includes major story moments and what appears to be the ending, which is now circulating across forums and social platforms. Notably, the game is still weeks away from its May 27 launch, yet key narrative beats are already out in the wild.
Well, the bad news doesn’t stop there. Reportedly, footage from Echoes of Aincrad has also appeared in the massive leak, alongside references to projects like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. However, clips of these games have not widely surfaced yet.
For IO Interactive, this is likely a frustrating moment. The studio has been positioning First Light as a fresh take on James Bond, especially focusing on a younger version of the character and a more grounded origin story.
Additionally, the VGC report also mentions that the leak has also exposed thousands of developer emails, which is a separate concern. All that said, if you don’t want to come across the leaked footage, it’s time to set filters on your social accounts.
