Meta has quietly launched Waddle World, a Tamagotchi-style AI pet app that lets users interact with virtual creatures, have voice conversations, and receive AI-generated doodles. The company has also introduced Style Sketch, a separate AI-powered fashion app.

According to its Apple App Store listing, Waddle World combines virtual pet care, journaling, and casual games. The app is currently free and available to adults in the Philippines.

Waddle World combines AI companions with virtual pet care

Meta describes Waddle World as a daily journal disguised as a virtual pet game, featuring a cozy 16-bit environment.

Users can hatch virtual creatures that gradually learn about them through conversations. Instead of typing journal entries, users can talk directly to their pets using voice interactions.

The AI pets can also create doodles based on these conversations, turning everyday thoughts and experiences into illustrations.

Beyond its AI features, Waddle World includes casual mini-games, such as grocery stacking and word games. Unlike traditional virtual pet games, the app doesn’t rely on daily streaks or competitive scores to encourage engagement.

Meta also launches Style Sketch, an AI fashion app

Social media consultant Matt Navarra spotted Waddle World and highlighted another new Meta app called Style Sketch.

Style Sketch focuses on AI-powered fashion experiences and reportedly has limited availability in three Asian markets: Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.

However, the reported availability of Style Sketch in these countries has not been independently verified.

The two launches follow Meta’s broader expansion into consumer AI products, including its Muse AI agent and upcoming Charm hardware.

Will Waddle World and Style Sketch launch globally?

Meta hasn’t announced plans to launch Waddle World or Style Sketch in the United States or other international markets.

Both apps currently appear to be regional releases, and the company hasn’t provided a timeline for wider availability.

Meta has also been contacted for additional details about the apps and potential expansion plans.

In other Meta news, Nvidia is investing $3 billion in Meta to accelerate Muse AI development. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is testing Organizations to improve large community management, and Instagram is experimenting with long-form videos.
