Microsoft and NVIDIA unveiled new advancements in a collaboration to revolutionize artificial intelligence (AI) development and performance. As a result, the two tech giants have released the new NVIDIA Blackwell platform, which is now integrated with Azure AI services and offers unparalleled performance for AI workloads.
Thanks to the new NVIDIA Blackwell platform, developers and organizations can harness the full potential of NVIDIA’s advanced computing power within the Azure ecosystem.
According to the official announcement of the partnership, Azure AI Foundry now features NVIDIA NIM microservices, providing optimized containers for over two dozen popular foundation models. This enhancement accelerates the deployment of generative AI applications and improves inferencing workloads, making AI development more efficient and accessible.
Epic, a leading electronic health record company, is leveraging NVIDIA NIM on Azure AI Foundry to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Epic aims to drive medical innovation and improve clinical outcomes by deploying open-source generative AI models.
But the companies are not stopping here: Microsoft and NVIDIA want organizations to develop their own in-house AI agents capable of solving specific tasks, thanks to the new integration of the NVIDIA Llama Nemotron Reason models into Azure AI Foundry.
