Microsoft Edge, one of the most secure browsers, recently released another security update in the Stable (Version 121.0.2277.98) and Extended Stable (Version 120.0.2210.167) channels to address the CVE-2024-21399 vulnerability.

It was released on February 1, 2024, and is a critical update for everyone. A few months ago, Microsoft fixed the CVE-2024-0519 vulnerability in Edge.

The latest patch affects the Microsoft Edge app on Windows and Android operating systems.

It will eliminate the possibility of an attacker exploiting the CVE-2024-21399 vulnerability to get you to an especially crafted unsafe website through Microsoft Edge. As per Microsoft, this is usually achieved through sending an instant message, an email, or an attachment in an email.

To download Microsoft Edge’s security update targeting the CVE-2024-21399 vulnerability, launch the browser > click the ellipsis near the top right > select Settings > go to About Microsoft Edge > and let the browser download Version 121.0.2277.98.
