Microsoft halts build release for the Windows 11 Insider Canary and Dev Channels this week

Microsoft has confirmed that there will be no new Windows 11 Insider Build release on the Canary and Dev channels this week. In a recent post, Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter). Also, there was no mention of why the Canary and Dev channels will not see any build release this week.

He further added that the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3495, under KB5037000, is now available to the Beta channel members. We recently covered some new features brought in by this update.

This includes the addition of two new Spotlight experiences in Windows 11. The new Spotlight experiences will allow users to engage with the Spotlight button to display different results.

There’s a new option that allows users to use Copilot as a normal application. Earlier users could only engage with Copilot to the side of their desktop. Now, users can also use it as an undocked app by resizing and moving it along the screen.

Apart from that, the company added the new Linked Devices panel. However, you can only view this panel if you are using Windows 11’s Home and Pro edition.

All that said, the recent KB5037000 update has its downside too. Now, you’ll see even more app recommendations in Windows 11. In short, you’ll be suggested to install apps that you will only use once in a blue moon.
