Building upon the premise of making hybrid work as well as communication more effective and efficient, Microsoft Teams together with Azure Communication Services have now made it easier to develop applications that connect users to the Teams platform.

With this in place, it is now possible to develop specialized business applications that allow users to make calls directly from Teams. You can also come up with new workflows for applications that need custom management of Teams phone calls. What’s more, Teams calling capabilities will be availed to devices that were not previously supported.

According to the blog post, “by matching with the Graph API, developers can build custom communications apps for Teams users on any endpoint, with opportunities to add and manage chats, channels, and Teams Meetings, as well as server and client-side calling bots, and to integrate information about people in the organization”.
