Microsoft Releases Windows 11 KB5102558 and KB5095615 Dynamic Updates

According to Neowin, Microsoft has released a new set of Windows 11 Dynamic Updates alongside the latest C-release preview update, KB5095093. The updates improve the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), refresh Windows Setup components, and help prepare devices for future feature updates.

Dynamic Updates are applied before Windows feature upgrades. They update recovery components, Windows Setup binaries, and other files used during the installation process. They also help preserve Language Packs and Features on Demand during upgrades.

New Safe OS Dynamic Update for Windows 11 26H1

Microsoft has released KB5095186, a Safe OS Dynamic Update for Windows 11 version 26H1.

After the update is installed, the Windows Recovery Environment version is updated to 10.0.28000.2335. Microsoft says the update improves the recovery environment used during troubleshooting and recovery scenarios.

Updates for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2

Microsoft has also released two Dynamic Updates for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2.

  • KB5102558 – Setup Dynamic Update that refreshes Windows Setup binaries and installation files used during feature updates.
  • KB5095615 – Safe OS Dynamic Update that updates the Windows Recovery Environment.

After installing KB5095615, the WinRE version should be updated to 10.0.26100.8737.

Dynamic Updates install automatically

According to Microsoft, both Recovery Dynamic Updates and Setup Dynamic Updates are downloaded and installed automatically through Windows Update when applicable.

The company also published new Windows Insider builds, including a new Beta Channel release and a separate 26H1 Beta update. Users enrolled in the Windows Insider Program can install these builds through Windows Update, while Dynamic Updates will continue to be delivered automatically during supported upgrade scenarios.
