Microsoft has released new Windows recovery updates for Windows 11 and Windows 10, bringing fresh Windows Recovery Environment improvements to several supported versions.

The new Safe OS Dynamic Updates also accompany the August 2026 Patch Tuesday updates.
Microsoft releases recovery updates for multiple Windows versions
Microsoft has released new recovery updates for Windows 11 26H1, Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2, Windows 11 23H2, and Windows 10 21H2 and 22H2.
This month’s Dynamic Update release includes recovery updates only. Microsoft did not release new Setup updates alongside them.
Dynamic Updates improve the Windows Recovery Environment, or WinRE, as well as components used during Windows deployment and setup.
Microsoft designs these packages so administrators can apply them to existing Windows images before deployment. Dynamic Updates can also preserve Language Packs and Features on Demand during the update process.
