Bing Image Creator launched two years ago and made AI-generated images from text a mainstream thing. Now, Microsoft is doing something similar for video. It’s now rolling out Bing Video Creator, a free tool that lets anyone generate short videos using OpenAI’s Sora model.

Bing Video Creator is now rolling out globally

Sora is OpenAI’s powerful text-to-video model, but it hasn’t been widely available. Even now, only ChatGPT Pro users can access it, and the subscription costs around $200 per month. Microsoft, on the other hand, is bringing the same power to regular Bing users for free.

Bing Video Creator is rolling out today on the Bing Mobile app. If you don’t see it yet, it should show up soon. Desktop support is also on the way, and Microsoft says you’ll eventually find it baked into Copilot Search.

Each user gets 10 fast video generations upfront. After that, you can either wait longer using the “Standard” speed or redeem Microsoft Rewards points to keep using the Fast option.

Videos are short, vertical, and easy to share

The generated videos are five seconds long and currently only available in vertical (9:16) format. You can save them, share them, or grab a direct link to post elsewhere. Microsoft also stores your videos for up to 90 days.

If you’re using the mobile app, you can open Video Creator from the menu or just type something like “create a video of a robot dancing” right into the Bing search bar. Desktop users will soon be able to visit bing.com/create to try both video and image creation.
