Microsoft‘s next-generation Surface Pro may have just leaked ahead of schedule. A fresh retailer leak picked up by Winfuture has revealed what appears to be the upcoming Surface Pro 13-inch. And it gives us an early look at Microsoft’s next ARM-powered tablet before its expected unveiling later this month.

Surface Pro 13-inch leak points to Snapdragon X2 Elite processor

While the design won’t surprise longtime Surface fans, the hardware hiding inside hints the new PC appears ready for an AI upgrade. At first glance, the device looks almost identical to the current Surface Pro.

The familiar kickstand remains intact, the overall chassis design hasn’t changed much, and the display still features the recognizable Surface look. However, Microsoft reportedly plans to power the new model with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, marking a significant upgrade over the previous generation.

The leaked details suggests Microsoft will use the 12-core version of the chip and pair it with up to 32GB of RAM. You can expect storage to bumped up as high as 1TB through a user-replaceable PCIe 4.0 SSD.

OLED stays, Blue color reportedly discontinued

The display appears to remain one of the device’s biggest selling points. Microsoft is reportedly sticking with a 13-inch OLED panel, continuing its push toward premium screens across the Surface lineup. The company is said to be offering the device in Black, Platinum, and Dune finishes. If you love the Blue color option, sadly it won’t make the jump to this refreshed version.

Notably, much of Microsoft’s marketing is expected to revolve around AI. The Snapdragon X2 Elite reportedly delivers up to 80 TOPS of NPU performance, giving the Surface Pro enough local AI horsepower to handle Microsoft’s growing Copilot ambitions. Battery life also appears to be a major focus, with leaked materials claiming up to 15.5 hours of local video playback.

That being said, several details remain missing. Pricing has yet to leak, and Microsoft hasn’t officially confirmed any of this. But comsidering the report, the Microsoft Surface Pro 13-inch will likely be announced on June 16.
