Microsoft is removing legacy meeting controls from Teams, but the company is also expanding its admin capabilities with a new dashboard focused on biometric data. According to Microsoft 365 Admin Center ID MC1191921 and roadmap ID 506750, a new voice and face enrollment dashboard is on the way.

New dashboard focuses on biometric data visibility

Microsoft is rolling out a dedicated dashboard that gives admins insight into how voice and facial data are used across Teams. The rollout is scheduled between mid-March and mid-April 2026.

This dashboard allows administrators to monitor enrollment data tied to Teams’ AI-powered features, offering a clearer view of how users interact with biometric-based tools.

Supports growing use of AI-powered Teams features

The feature aligns with Microsoft’s broader push toward AI-driven collaboration tools. It specifically supports scenarios such as speaker attribution, voice isolation, and face-based meeting room experiences.

Admins can now track how widely these features are adopted across their organization, helping them understand usage patterns and optimize deployments.

Adds controls for privacy and compliance

In addition to visibility, Microsoft is introducing new controls for managing sensitive biometric data. Admins can review stored voice and facial data and remove it when needed.

This improves compliance capabilities and gives organizations more control over how biometric information is handled within Teams.

This update arrives as Microsoft continues to evolve Teams with new capabilities. The company is also working on chat-based workflow creation, expanding automation directly inside the app.

If you missed recent changes, Microsoft has introduced multiple Teams updates throughout March, focusing on AI, collaboration, and admin tooling improvements.
