azure ai foundry agents

Microsoft released the Azure AI Foundry last November as a hub for developers to create AI custom agents. To make the process easier, faster, and better, the Redmond-based tech giant will release the option to ground the AI agents in files stored in SharePoint with information from Microsoft Graph.

Microsoft Graph is a service that connects different Microsoft tools and gathers information from them. The Tenant Graph grounding helps agents, like chatbots or other programs, access important information from Microsoft Graph, including files in SharePoint.

In other words, developers can now build smarter agents that can use data from Microsoft tools more effectively. Here’s what the entry says:

Tenant Graph grounding provides grounding for agents with relevant information from Microsoft Graph, including files stored in SharePoint. This capability is now available to developers building agents in Azure AI Foundry.

This new feature will be available for developers who create agents using Azure AI Foundry. Microsoft will preview it first in March, and then it will gradually roll it out in June.
