Today, the Ethisphere Institute released its annual list of the World’s Most Ethical Companies. Microsoft is included on the list for the 5th year in a row. This is a great achievement for Microsoft as it continues to evolve and innovate as a company, as well as expanding across the globe to help and educate people to help others through the power of technology.
In a post on Microsoft on the Issues Blog, Microsoft’s general manager of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Lori Forte Harnick, describes the pride that she and everyone at Microsoft feel about this honor:
“Trust is paramount to the success of any business. At Microsoft, we work hard to build and maintain trust through a shared commitment to ethical and transparent business practices.
Our commitments to ethical business practices and strong corporate governance policies are designed to promote the long-term interests of our shareholders, maintain internal checks and balances, promote accountability at all levels of our organization, and foster responsible decision making.Â
We are highly appreciative of this honor. Our customers and society expect us to maximize the value of technology while preserving values that are timeless. We recognize there is more work to be done and we commit ourselves to ongoing improvement as we help others do more and achieve more.”
The Ethisphere Institute’s World’s Most Ethical Companies list includes 132 companies in 50 industries representing 21 countries. For the full list of companies, check out the Ethisphere Institute’s World’s Most Ethical Companies in the link below.
