Moment 5 will now be available to all Windows 11 users

The Windows 11 Moment 5 Update was first released on February 29, 2024, for people who manually install updates from the Windows Settings app, but it was an optional non-security update

However, starting April 9 with the April 2024 Patch Tuesday updates, the Moment 5 update has become mandatory and available for all Windows 11 users.

Unlike the previous iterations, Moment 5 is smaller and has introduced a handful of features like Snap Layouts and  Windows Spotlight.

The update also brought changes to existing features like the Nearby Share feature, Copilot, and more. To learn all about Moment 5 in detail, you can check out this guide.

You can install the update manually by launching the Settings app. Once there, navigate to Windows Update, and click Check for Updates.

However, if you want to install the update manually, you can go to Microsoft Update Catalog, search for KB5036893, and click Download. Then, run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
