MSI Likely to Release a Limited-Edition Frieren GeForce GPU Soon
If you are a fan of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, MSI appears to have a surprise planned, possibly in the form of a GPU. Yes, you read that right. Over on Bilibili, MSI has teased a collab with Frieren, which @RubyRapids on X, believes could be a limited-edition GeForce graphics card featuring a custom design inspired by highly acclaimed manga and anime series. That said, the company hasn’t yet disclosed the exact GPU model.

The teaser image seen above highlights themed artwork and branding elements that are in line with the anime’s fantasy aesthetic. It’s possible that the GPU is expected to feature a redesigned shroud, backplate, and retail packaging around the Frieren universe. MSI may also bundle exclusive merchandise or collectibles, although specific inclusions have not been confirmed.
Not to mention, MSI has not detailed the core specifications, though the limited edition is likely based on an existing GeForce RTX series GPU. As seen with similar anime-themed collaborations, these releases usually focus on visual changes rather than changes to clock speeds or internal hardware. This is usually done to position the product as a collector’s item while retaining the performance profile of the base model.
Since MSI has just shared the teaser image, there is no word on pricing, launch date, or regional availability. In previous cases, anime-themed graphics cards have launched in limited quantities and sold quickly, especially in Asian markets, where demand is usually high for limited-edition hardware.
All that said, MSI has hinted that it will provide more details down the line. Speaking of GPUs, let’s not forget that AMD, in an internal overclocking test, has pushed the Radeon RX 9060 XT to a peak clock speed of 4.769 GHz, setting a world record.
