NVIDIA DGX Spark Hits $5,000 Ahead of the RTX Spark Launch

NVIDIA DGX Spark prices are already moving above the company’s official listed price, even as NVIDIA prepares to launch its new RTX Spark systems in October.

NVIDIA still lists the DGX Spark Founders Edition at $4,699, but the system is currently out of stock through the company’s marketplace.

The cheapest available Amazon unit is listed at $4,999.99, sold by Micro Center and shipped by Amazon. That puts it roughly $300 above NVIDIA’s current price and about 25% above the original $3,999 launch MSRP.

ASUS DGX Spark systems have also become more expensive

ASUS has seen even larger price swings with its Ascent GX10 systems.

The 1TB model temporarily climbed to $8,299, while the 2TB version reached $9,499. Those prices were around 50% higher than listings seen roughly a month earlier.

Prices have since dropped, with the ASUS system now available for around $6,000 on Amazon.

RTX Spark PCs arrive in October

NVIDIA says RTX Spark desktops and laptops will begin shipping in October.

The systems combine Grace CPUs, Blackwell RTX graphics, and up to 128GB of unified LPDDR5X memory. NVIDIA has not announced retail pricing for RTX Spark hardware yet.

The two platforms also currently target different operating systems. NVIDIA lists DGX Spark with DGX OS, its Ubuntu-based Linux distribution, while RTX Spark officially supports Windows 11.

NVIDIA has not said whether DGX Spark will officially support Windows or whether RTX Spark will officially support Linux, leaving operating system support as a potentially important distinction between the two product lines.
