NVIDIA's GeForce NOW Support is Officially Coming to Googlebooks

NVIDIA has confirmed that GeForce NOW support is coming to Googlebook laptops. With this move, NVIDIA is bringing cloud gaming to Google’s new laptop category without requiring users to install PC games locally.

Googlebooks are about to become a more interesting gaming laptop

The announcement of GeForce Now support for Googlebooks came alongside the launch of CONTROL Resonant, which is now available on GeForce NOW.

NVIDIA says Ultimate members can stream the game with GeForce RTX 5080-class performance, DLSS 4, ray tracing, NVIDIA Reflex and Cinematic Quality Streaming, with up to 5K HDR on supported devices.

Googlebook is Google’s new laptop category combining the Android technology stack with desktop foundations from ChromeOS. NVIDIA says GeForce NOW support will arrive as Googlebook laptops begin rolling out this fall, giving users access to supported PC games through the cloud without requiring large local installations or a powerful gaming PC.

That could make the new laptops considerably more interesting for gamers. Googlebook does not need to compete with traditional gaming laptops on raw GPU hardware when services such as GeForce NOW can handle the demanding graphics work in the cloud.

NVIDIA has not yet provided a specific Googlebook availability date for GeForce NOW. The company says more availability details will be shared later this year.
