NVIDIA has officially announced that the GeForce RTX 5060 will launch on May 19, 2025. The upcoming GPU will launch at a starting price of $299.Â
It is an entry-level option in the RTX 5000 series that features 3,840 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR7 memory.
NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 to launch as an affordable option, starting at $299
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 supports DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, along with updated ray tracing and tensor cores.  The RTX 5060 is designed for 1080p gaming, promising over 100 FPS in modern titles.Â
NVIDIA has also highlighted the performance metrics, such as 330 FPS in Marvel Rivals, 148 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, 130 FPS in Black Myth: Wukong, 114 FPS in Alan Wake 2, and 208 FPS in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
NVIDIA didn’t change the price of the RTX 5060, but pretty much everything else got an upgrade. For the same $299 as the RTX 4060, you’re getting a GPU with more CUDA cores (3,840 vs. 3,072), faster memory (28Gbps vs. 17Gbps), and a huge boost in memory bandwidth — 448GBps compared to just 272GBps.
While the base price of GeForce RTX is $299, the absence of a Founders Edition means users will have to rely on third-party manufacturers. This could lead to higher retail prices due to markups and recent U.S. import tariffs. Â
As previously leaked, laptops featuring the RTX 5060 will also be available starting May 19, with prices beginning at $1,099. Â
