Fix: Omen Gaming Hub Undervolting Not Working

Undervolting in your Omen Gaming Hub can help you keep the temperatures on your device at optimal levels but if it is not working, you might not be able to keep tabs on your device’s performance which will affect its stability.

When select features are not working on a program, it’s usually a case of an outdated app or OS. However, it is important to note that undervolting has been sunset for Intel processors starting from the 12th generation and above so if you updated your BIOS recently, the feature may be missing.

What can I do if Omen Gaming Hub undervolting is not working?

1. Check for app updates

  1. Press the Windows key + S and enter store. Select Microsoft Store from the list.
  2. Next, go to the Downloads section in the left pane.

  3. After that, locate OMEN Gaming Hub on the list.
  4. Click the Update button next to it and wait for it to finish.

  5. Optional: If the update button isn’t available, leave the window open for a couple of minutes, and check again.

Also check for Windows updates to ensure both your OS and the program are the latest versions to avoid more compatibility issues that may be causing a mismatch in the available features.

2. Run the Omen Gaming Hub as an administrator

  1. Open File Explorer and search for the Omen Gaming Hub folder.
  2. Right-click on the exe file and open Properties.
  3. Choose the Compatibility tab. Check the Run this program as an administrator and click Apply and OK to save changes.Run this program as an administrator
  4. Now start the game again and check if the undervolting option appears.

Most programs require administrative privileges to make changes to your PC.

3. Reinstall the application

  1. Click on the Start Menu icon, type Control Panel on the search bar, and click Open.control-panel-search fallout new vegas runtime error
  2. Select Uninstall a Program under Programs.going uninstall program control panel
  3. Find the Omen gaming hub app, click on it, and select Uninstall.
  4. Confirm uninstallation in the next pop-up. Also, remove software leftovers before installing the app again.
  5. Once removed download OMEN Gaming Hub again and install it.

Reinstallation may update the app to the latest version if an update did not reflect the undervolting feature.

4. Update BIOS

  1. The process of updating BIOS will differ depending on your motherboard. For this step, we shall be updating the HP motherboard.
  2. Navigate to the HP driver and software download website.
  3. Choose laptop or desktop, depending on the type of computer you’re using.
  4. Enter your exact serial number or your exact computer model.
  5. Select your OS and OS version, then click Submit.
  6. Click on All drivers and then expand BIOS to see available updates.
  7. Click the download icon.
  8. Install the .exe file, following the on-screen instructions.
  9. Restart your PC.

5. Roll back to a previous version of your BIOS

  1. Before you downgrade your BIOS, ensure your system has a BIOS recovery feature otherwise if anything goes wrong, your device might become unsuable.
  2. Navigate to the HP driver and software download website.
  3. Choose laptop or desktop, depending on the type of computer you’re using.
  4. Enter your exact serial number or your exact computer model.
  5. Select your OS and OS version, then click Submit.
  6. Click on All drivers and then expand BIOS to see available updates.
  7. Click on the BIOS option and click to expand the section.
  8. Next, click on the Previous version, expand the section, select the topmost update then click on Download.
  9. Install the .exe file, following the on-screen instructions.
  10. Restart your PC.

Most manufacturers may not approve of a BIOS downgrade due to security vulnerabilities and if you force it, your motherboard may be damaged and you’ll need a replacement. If you’re not too sure about downgrading your BIOS, contact Omen gaming hub support for further assistance.
